  • This ULTRA-PLUS Training prong collar is our classic version designed for professional dog training.

The base neck size for each wire gauge is as follows:

2.25mm -> fits up to a 13" neck measurement

3.2mm -> fits up to a 19" neck measurement

4mm -> fits up to a 21" neck measurement

If your dog exceeds the starting length capacity of your suggested wire gauge size, you will need to purchase additional middle links

Very difficult to open!

I have some arthritis in my thumbs and was unable to undo the link to open the collar. Then I ordered a different closure which is better, but then I had my boyfriend remove a few links, so now there are only 2 links on both sides. I had to pay $20 shipping for the two orders and am not very happy with the difficulty in using this. Plus, there were very few instructions for either of these items, so it was confusing. I ended up spending about $75 for a darn prong collar!

Just buy it!

I was using a different brand on this type of collar on my dog. It literally didnt work even half as well as this one.

Great collar - could use top instead of bottom clip

I love this collar, particularly with the optional ClicLock that I purchased. The one exception to my enthusiasm is the fact that it fastens below the dog's chin. I have a Samoyed, which makes the operation particularly invisible to the eye; everything has to be exclusively by touch, by feel. I would prefer that the clip/lock mechanism be positioned above the neck so that I could see what my fingers were doing.

Hesitant about prongs?

I was. I didn't want anything that could hurt our puppy, golden doodle. But then I asked friends who had had dogs and they all had used these as training tools...they love digs and it works. For the first time our 9 month old doodle walked at my side. He is smart so it didn't take him long to figure out...not to pull.
